The Center of Curative Pedagogics

The Center for Curative Pedagogics (CCP) was founded in Moscow in 1989 by a group of specialists and parents as a public charitable organization for helping handicapped children. Due to their severe condition, no other institution would treat them. The Center became one of the first non-governmental organizations in Russia to help special-needs children to develop and adapt themselves to life. CCP pioneered several advanced schemes for handicapped children, e.g. founded the first in Russia integrative kindergartens and a school.

Lighthouse financially supports the Center of Curative Pedagogics in Moscow. Also, members of our team regularly visit the Center to lend a hand for a number of hours: http://www.ccp.org.ru/en/.

On April 21st 2011 the UN Secretary, Ban Ki-moon, visited the Children's Physical Rehabilitation Centre in Moscow.
